Meet the Teachers

Smarty Pants Preschool staff
2015-2016

Miss Hali Larsen

Miss Hali has been the director/teacher at Smarty Pants Preschool for the last 3 years.   She moved from Mtn. Green Utah where she was also the director/teacher at Dots & Doodles Preschool and the Accelerated Learners Kindergarten programs for 4 years.

Hali is a graduate from Weber State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. She is married and has 5 busy kids.

She enjoys watching her students grow and develop with each new skill they master.  She loves challenging her students while teaching them to be independent thinkers.  She believes the BEST part of her day is the hugs and loves she receives from her students.

Miss Jodi LaFeber
Miss Jodi earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Music and Child Development.  She has taught for the Weber School District, Hooper Elementary, and most recently as a 4th grade teacher at Majestic Elementary.

Through her teaching experiences and raising 3 children of her own, she has gained valuable insight as to how to help children learn in a fun, hands-on way, with the use of many different techniques and mediums.

She believes all children can succeed at learning if they are given a nurturing environment where they receive support and encouragement as they try new things. She loves children and feels the most rewarding part of her job is seeing them reach their full potential.

Miss Kristen Dean

Miss Kristen has worked hand in hand with children as an assistant teacher here at Smarty Pants Preschool for the past two years.  She has also provided teaching support at other learning facilities in the area.   Miss Kristen worked at the Tree House Museum as a story time and tour specialist.

She and her husband are raising four amazing children of their own, and are very involved with their education, athletics, and development.

Miss Kristen understands the importance of creating a fun nurturing environment for learning.  She is excited for the opportunity to continue to teach your children this year and is looking forward to seeing them grow and
develop.
